Mr. Strachan’s installation, We are in this together creates the foundation for Together which includes a robust series of  interactive programs to engage everyone in the community. School children, adults, ranchers, artists, bankers, ski lift operators, locals and visitors; all are invited and encouraged to participate. This is our community and We are in this together.

In this series of short programs for parents and teachers, poet Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer offers prompts and preparation ideas for fostering creative wonder and poetic play in kids ages 4-11. When we say, We are in this together, let’s include the youth in this big conversation.


We Are In This Together: A Poetry “Thoughtshop”

We are all facing uncertainty, human frailty, and inevitable radical change. It is these very challenges that invite us all to find the best in ourselves so we can meet these global challenges together.

Writing poems helps us meet the world as it is, to find meaning and a path, and to share our insights with each other. Join poet Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer in this 45-minute “thoughtshop “in which Rosemerry will read timely poems and offer writing prompts for you to explore your own ideas and feelings about what it means to be “in this together.”


Be part of a National Podcast

About humanism, unity, equality, democracy and belonging; join us to enter into a dialogue with the Artist, writers, poets, musicians, environmentalists and diverse cultural figures and voices speaking to our urgent and fraught cultural moment.


Educational Poetry/Writing and Art workshops for regional school districts

When: During the academic school year 20/21 and 21/22

Location:  On site & at the Ah Haa School

Full-day workshops will be offered to regional students to guide them through their experience with WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER including supervised visits to the site along with writing and art workshops to allow full expression. This program will culminate in in a community-wide art show showcasing the student’s interpretation of the work.  


Lecture Series

When: Beginning July, 2020

Location:  Virtually until safe to gather

What is Art? What are some trends in the current world of contemporary art? Who is the We in the text? What does it mean to be and feel alienated? What are the issues that create alienation in our town, and in the world? What can we do about it? How can we create a stronger, more open, accepting environment?

Join artists, sociologists, environmentalists, and others as we explore the challenges of our time…
